After giving birth to my daughter, I was completely uninformed about the postpartum hormonal swings that would make me feel like I was pregnant all over again. Too many times to count in those first couple months I would rush to the store to get a pregnancy test, sure that the nausea and exhaustion were signs I was brewing another one in the womb already. All the tests were negative, of course, but I always found myself embarrassed to throw them in the trash for fear that a passing guest or family member would see and make assumptions. I would always wrap it in toilet paper and throw garbage on top, burying it like a cat buries its business where no one can find it.
Thankfully, a new product is in the works that will make that embarrassing game a thing of the past.
Flushable, biodegradable pregnancy tests.
And all women everywhere sighed a hallelujah.
Flushable. Biodegradable. Sustainable. And no more hiding pregnancy tests in trashcans.
Pretty cool, right?
