Not going to lie, I’ve never really liked the whole Elf on the Shelf game. Sure, the idea are cute and clever and even earn a chuckle from me from time to time. But there is something unnerving about the message that an evil elf intent on mischief sends that I don’t generally care for.
However, when I saw these photos taken by the dad over at That Dad Blog, I couldn’t help but smile. Lawrence, a father of six and a professional photographer, dressed up his four-month-old as the Elf on the Shelf, and took pictures of him getting into mischief. I thought it was such a dad thing to do and loved the results so much!
On his blog Lawrence writes, “I have mixed feelings about this elf returning to live with us for the month, we have sort of a love hate relationship. I noticed myself starting to miss him after he went back to the North Pole (I hope he never reads that) which totally surprised me. He is great with the kids and I love that part, but he has no sense of manners or privacy. I’m going to document each day of his time with us in this blog post, so keep checking back to see the latest update on how the elf and I are getting along.”
What a fun and cute idea! Share with your friends!
