“Is it a boy or a girl?”
Such is the reverberating question that echoes through every aisle as you push your little one through the grocery store.
“A girl,” you mumble for what seems like the fiftieth time, wondering why your baby had to be born shockingly bald instead of with a glorious head of soft curls. This happened to me more times than I could count with my baby. It became clear that I needed to firmly distinguish the gender of my baby if I ever wanted to avoid the annoying question in public. A dress was too easily hidden under a blanket, so I became acquainted with head wraps instead. Headwraps are like headbands but softer, with a wider and more comfortable band.
They usually are made of pretty material, with a top knot resting at the baby’s forehead. While I loved the few headwraps that I came across at Target or Kohl’s, they were far and few between. It was simply difficult to find headwraps that fit a four-month-old! That’s when I stumbled across this awesome DIY video. You choose the fabric, and all you need is a sewing machine, some fabric scissors, and a very little time! Voila! Perfect little baby headwraps fit to match your little one’s style! Check it out!
